Steelers vs Chargers Preview

After a disappointing loss last week, the Pittsburgh Steelers are back again to face off against the Los Angeles Chargers. The game is on Sunday, October 13th at 8:20 P.M. at the Dignity Health Sports Park.

Third-string quarterback Devlin Hodges is expected to start for the first time after having to take over for an injured Mason Rudolph during the last game. He played with confidence last week and is expected to continue to do so. Hodges had his first couple of practices with the team this past week in order to get more comfortable with the plays and the rest of the starting team. The team and coaching staff will be able to learn more about how he plays under pressure this weekend.

If all else fails, the Steelers should be able to go after the Chargers’ quarterback. The season started off slow for the Steelers, but their defense has been making great plays in recent weeks. They currently have 19 sacks this season and are third in the NFL for that category. James Conner is also expected to perform well on Sunday. Even if Rudolph doesn’t play, Hodges will be able to find a way to get the ball to Conner. Overall, the Steelers should be capable of winning this matchup. It won’t be an easy win, but it is still possible for the team in its current condition.

Be sure to tune into the game this Sunday, and check out our public signing on October 26th!
