Steelers vs Panthers Preview
The Pittsburgh Steelers are set to close their 2019 preseason on Thursday, August 29th at 7:00 P.M. against the Carolina Panthers. The Panthers will host the Steelers at the Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte.
This is the 17th consecutive year that the two teams have been matched up during the preseason. The Panthers are currently 1-2, while the Steelers’ record is 3-0. The Steelers will be looking to finish the preseason unbeaten.
Most of the starting lineup is not expected to play this game, so the rookies will be gunning to earn a spot on the 53-man roster. The only player that has been officially ruled out for the game by Mike Tomlin is Ben Roethlisberger. Mason Rudolph stated that Joshua Dobbs will be starting the game with Rudolph relieving him later on. Devlin Hodges is expected to play the majority of the second half.
