Steelers vs 49ers Preview

Week three is upon us and the Pittsburgh Steelers will be focusing on defeating the San Francisco 49ers. The game will take place on Sunday, September 22nd at 4:25 P.M. at Levi’s Stadium. The 49ers are coming off a dominating win, while the Steelers will be looking to bounce back from their back to back losses.

A lot of unexpected news has happened over the past week, from starting quarterback Ben Roethlisberger being out for the season, to the team trading a first-round draft pick for Minkah Fitzpatrick. Mason Rudolph was promoted to starting quarterback and said he is “feeling confident” about the new role. The new changes to the lineup will be an obstacle for the team to overcome or an opportunity for them to take advantage of. The 49ers, on the other hand, put up the fifth-most yards in franchise history last week. The team also focused on pressuring the Cincinnati Bengals’ quarterback, which would be a smart move to make again with Rudolph.

The Steelers don’t have the best record when playing west under head coach Mike Tomlin. This could be a concern, but the Steelers have more pressing concerns than their past games according to Tomlin. The 49ers have been running the ball extremely well and have been able to control the game for the most part. The team is also undefeated in both the preseason and regular season. It will be interesting to see how this upcoming game plays out on both sides.

Be sure to get your tickets to our next public signing on September 28th!
