Steelers vs Titans Recap
The Pittsburgh Steelers’ game against the Tennessee Titans ended in an 18-6 victory for the Steelers. The team’s most recent win boosted their preseason record to 3-0.
There were a few highlights to be noted from the game. The Steelers got the initial points in their first away game of the preseason, which helped the team get into the flow they have been looking for. Ben Roethlisberger sent a 17-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster during the first quarter. This combination and early start between Roethlisberger and Smith-Schuster has been a staple during the preseason. Other important moments included a touchdown by James Washington, a conversion from Chris Boswell, Matthew Wright’s 31-yard field goal, and Mason Rudolph’s touchdown passes. Rudolph helped drive multiple touchdowns against the Kansas City Chiefs, as well.
One player to pay attention to is Devin Bush. Many have said that he has similar qualities to Ryan Shazier, who was a rising star for the Steelers before his injury. All eyes have been on Bush this preseason due to his speed and playmaking ability. Another player that held the spotlight during the preseason is Bud Dupree. He has been pressuring the opposing quarterbacks in every game. Dupree’s stats have been racking up since the first preseason game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Dupree has made multiple sacks, tackles, pass deflections, and quarterback hits during these games that have contributed to the Steelers’ three consecutive wins.
