Steelers vs Bills Preview

The Pittsburgh Steelers are up against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, December 15th at 8:20 PM at Heinz Field. The game will be a relatively even matchup, as the Steelers sit 8-5 on the season while the Bills are 9-4.

The Steelers finally have a playoff chance within grasp after their rough 0-3 regular-season start. A win against the Bills would catapult the Steelers over the Bills and give them the #5 seed in the AFC Playoffs, as well. To make sure this win happens, James Conner has returned to practice fully the past few days. However, JuJu Smith-Schuster was still limited. Jaylen Samuels and Vance McDonald are hopeful to play after suffering injuries. The Steelers have been pretty successful without some of their star players, however, having everyone healthy can only help the team out.

The Steelers’ defense is expected to make the Bills very uncomfortable this weekend. The Steelers have recorded 48 sacks so far this season, which is the most in the NFL. Players like Minkah Fitzpatrick, Joe Haden, and Steven Nelson are at the forefront of the defense. The Steelers’ offense is slowly stepping up their game, too. Devlin Hodges has made it clear that he is not afraid of the spotlight. He steps onto the field like he belongs there and his confidence shows. The offense has been running the ball better than they have all season and Hodges is helping make big plays.

This will be a tough game for both sides. Be sure to tune into the game to see if the Steelers can clinch that #5 playoff seed.
