Steelers vs Rams Recap

The Pittsburgh Steelers went up against the Los Angeles Rams this past weekend at Heinz Field. The Steelers continued their winning streak on Sunday by defeating the Rams.

The Rams were the first team to put points on the scoreboard when they recovered a fumble for a touchdown. The Steelers quickly retaliated, however, when Mason Rudolph sent a touchdown pass to James Washington. At the end of the first quarter, the score was tied 7-7. The second quarter started off with a sack by Cam Heyward, who now has 50.5 sacks in his career. T.J. Watt was a star last night when he made a big play by sacking the Rams’ quarterback. The Steelers continued to produce big plays throughout the quarter. Javon Hargrave got a sack which led to Minkah Fitzpatrick picking up the fumble and running it for a touchdown. The score was 14-7 in favor of the Steelers at halftime.

The second half began with Joe Harden and Trey Edmunds both making interceptions. The Rams attempted to regain control of the game by making a 30-yard field goal. The Steelers were still up 14-10 at the end of the third quarter. The Rams continued their pursuit of the win by getting a safety, boosting their score to 14-12. Chris Boswell was able to make a field goal, however. Heyward, Watt, and Fitzpatrick all made big plays in the final quarter which led to a Steelers victory of 17-12.

The Steelers finally have their old winning formula back and now they are in the playoff picture. Their season thus far truly shows that in the NFL it’s never over until it’s over. Tune in to the Steelers’ next game against the Cleveland Browns on Thursday, November 14th at 8:20 P.M.
